Summer Solstice – June 21, 2023 – First Day of Summer!

Summer Solstice – June 21st – First Day of Summer!

On the summer solstice, the sun’s daily northward movement in the sky appears to pause, and we see the sun rise and set at its northernmost points on the horizon. After the solstice, sunrise and sunset shift southward again and we slowly begin to lose daylight.

Enjoy the longest day of sunlight and the shortest night of the year! ☀️
